The eigth Faculty Institute: Teaching with Technology will be offered for UCSB faculty members June 14-16, 2011. The Institute is a joint effort of Instructional Development, L&S Information Technology, the Library, and the Image Resource Center and will consist of three all-day series of presentations and hands-on workshops. We will explore topics such as "The State of Course Management at UCSB", "Effectively Using Online Library Resources", and "Incorporating Online Image Databases". Workshops will address topics such as basic use of GauchoSpace and advanced use of tools within GauchoSpace. We will of course have the now very popular "Faculty Kitchens" on the Wednesday and Thursday afternoons where you can work on your own materials in the lab with lots of folks to help and of whom you can ask questions. The Institute will be held on campus, from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm for each of the three days. If you have questions, please contact George Michaels at <george@id.ucsb.edu>.
If you are interested in attending, please click here to Register and fill out the registration form to reserve a space, or email Ruth Marquette <ruth@id.ucsb.edu>, by 12 pm Monday, June 13.
Handouts and continuing conversations from FITT can be found on the Instructional Development GauchoSpace site "Changing Instruction for Changing Times."
